In a surprising event that occurred in 2019, Clauvino da Silva, a Brazilian gang leader known as ‘Baixinho’, attempted to escape from Gericino prison using an unusual disguise: he dressed as his 19-year-old daughter.

The criminal planned his daring escape by wearing a silicone mask, long hair wig, glasses, jeans, and a pink T-shirt with cartoon donuts.
The escape attempt began when the prisoner’s daughter visited her father in prison, with the plan to switch places with him and stay in the cell while he escaped. However, Da Silva’s nervousness during the process raised suspicions, resulting in his immediate capture.
The State Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration of Rio de Janeiro captured and released impressive images of the already captured criminal, undressing from his disguise and identifying himself. The video, showing Da Silva taking off the silicone mask and revealing his identity, quickly gained attention and became widely circulated.
This curious incident highlights not only the extreme creativity in escape attempts but also reinforces the constant vigilance needed in penitentiary systems to prevent such occurrences.
